About the game

Tokelau- Isle of Survival is a First Person experimental experience visualizing human emotion.  Players will navigate and traverse through the island  environment at night in the middle of a storm. You need to figure out how to survive and escape the island... This is a hard game and meant to be hard... there are no saves and no one is there to help you figure it out...

Just FYI

This experience is not for everyone. Tokelau- Isle of Survival is a exploratory puzzle simulator that conveys themes and emotions through the environment.

You are likely to experience the following themes and emotions:

  • Anger
  • Frustration
  • Problem Solving
  • Loneliness / Solitude
BEST EXPERIENCED WITH HEADPHONES

This is my first Unity project started as a  tutorial by Pete Jepson on Udemy called "Make a horror survival game in Unity", which I highly recommend...

Through the process of learning to make the game I departed from his lecture and created this game. Even if this type of Genre isn't to your liking I would greatly appreciate it if you gave it a play through.

 Feedback

Any sort of feedback or comments are greatly appreciated, whether it be good or bad, it's important for me as a designer to understand what I could be doing better in my future projects and what I'm currently doing right to better adapt and further expand my skills.

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This was a cool horror game about running around a horror island, lost, cold and hungry, trying to find a way out of the situation. The game was definitely quite an experience where the player gets thrown into a situation with barely any instructions and directions, just like the main character, trying to find their way out. The game has an interesting concept but I felt that there could have been a little more information given to the player about what to do in the game so that the player won't be as lost as I was XD. I was wondering why was there Jill Valentine's image (From Resident Evil) in the game. Other than that, I found the enemies in the game kind of blind at times and kind of too much to handle at times where I can walk around them without noticing and get chased for long periods of time once spotted. Would be cool if there was some form of direction given to the player at the start of the game. I feel that that would be enough to help the player complete the game.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Hi Dragon Explosion... thank you for trying out the game... Jill Valentine like everything in the game were just found assets... I didn't have any money to develop the game, so I tried to find anything I could to build it... my main focus was on the experience and the game programming. I see what you are saying regarding the enemies... I've never been happy with their movement and detection of the player... I'll keep working on that... again thank you for your insight...

Keep up the good work!
